Improving the security around customer-sensitive data as it is stored in the database is also scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
Some highlights of the work completed in the second half of the year:
If you cannot delete a car because it has a record of being sold or the registration fee has already been paid, this car will now be marked VOIDED. It will be removed from Edge Pipeline and Edge Simulcast and it will be left out of reports and uploads (such as Carfax and AutoCheck). If there was an unpaid registration fee on this car, it will be removed. You still cannot re-use this car number. You cannot sell a vehicle that has a voided registration. You cannot print forms for a voided registration. If you determine that you voided a car number in error, you can uncheck the Voided Registration box (on the Auction Info tab or the Vehicle Info tab if you are a Collector Car auction).
When uploading more than 100 cars to AutoCheck or CARFAX there will be multiple requests because these services can only handle 100 cars in one request. Users no longer have to try and limit their requests to 100 cars or less. This will still just create one CARFAX file for the user to review, but it may create more than one AutoCheck file. These files will both be listed on the screen showing the list of generated AutoCheck reports.
A new button named "Download All" has been added to the Bill of Sale Print Buyer Copies and Print Seller Copies. This will download PDF buyer or seller copies for all bills of sale for the sale date specified. You may further limit it to customers of a specific customer type, auction rep, or a specific customer. You will be asked for the location to download the files to and whether you want previous buyer or seller copies to be deleted first. The files will be named CUST###-BOS***-BUYER.PDF or CUST###-BOS****SELLER.PDF, where ### is the customer number and *** is the bill of sale number. This button will not show if your auction uses pre-printed forms for bills of sale.
If multiple cars are released from their numbers on the Reserve Number screen, the user now has the option of applying their answer to the question "Do you want to re-reserve this number?" to all the cars being released instead of the message displaying multiple times.
The VIN decoding has been updated to include 2025-year model vehicles.
If the hybrid type of a VIN has something in it that is not optional, HYBRID is added to the engine type.
The IRS 8300 form has been updated to the 2023 (latest) version.
BMO Positive Pay bank file format has been added to the list of Positive Pay formats.
The automated sending of Positive Pay files to the bank has been enhanced to only send those that haven’t been sent since the last transmission. This will allow an auction to send Positive Pay files to the bank multiple times a day.
For Canadian auctions, when a charge is written off, the tax accounts will be offset for the tax amounts instead of it all going against the write-off or charge revenue account. If the forgiven debt is later reversed, the taxes will be unpaid first, then the charge amount in case this wasn't fully written off.
On the Date Out Vehicles screen, the column of inventory numbers was changed to buttons so you can go to the Car Registration screen from there for that particular car.
A new company option was added to the Charges/Fee tab on the Company Information screen - Print PSI Charge Type on PSI Form. If you are not using a custom PSI form, this will print the PSI charge type selected on the top of the PSI form if you set it to true.
The Auction Rep report now has two options if purchased cars are to be included. One option uses the buying dealership's buyer auction rep. Use this option if you use different auction reps for whether the dealership is buying or selling. The other option uses the buying dealership's seller auction rep. Use this option if you don't use a separate auction rep for whether dealerships are buying or selling.
